Moringa Oleifera - The "miracle tree"

Even the name of this plant, which we have only recently known, sounds like a magic formula. In India, known there as the tree of life, it was used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine over 5000 years ago. It is said to be able to cure over 300 diseases. But what does it mean? What makes the tree so special? Why is the moringa plant so versatile and effective? And what makes them so healthy?

The healthy power is in the leaves

The plant is currently considered to be by far the most nutritious plant ever. Numerous valuable nutrients and vital substances are especially in the leaves or in the Leaf powder to be found in an optimally coordinated form. The high number should be emphasized here amino acids, because 18 out of 20 known essential amino acids could be detected in the leaves. These cannot be produced independently by the human organism, but they are an important component for the Oxygen transport in the body, the Ability to concentrate and many important brain functions.

Also a high proportion of Antioxidants are found in the moringa plant. They are essential for an efficient organism, because they protect us from free radicals, which can often be the cause of diseases. The so-called ORAC values ("Oxygen radical absorbance capacity"), with the help of which it can be determined to what extent free radicals are inhibited, are significantly higher in Moringa than in other plants. This indicates that the plant has particularly good antioxidant properties.

The recently discovered component is also interesting Zeatin. Amazingly, the leaves of the moringa tree contain up to 1000 times more zeatin than other plants. Zeatin is actually a growth hormone which, because it is so abundant in Moringa, ensures that it grows quickly. In our body, however, the zeatin acts as a Messenger substancewhich ensures that all the important vital substances contained in Moringa can also be absorbed and used by the human organism. Another advantage: Zeatin inhibits the breakdown of the leaf's own chlorophyll. As a result, the proteins and vital substances contained in the Moringa leaves are broken down much more slowly, which is also a great advantage for the further processing of the leaves into leaf powder, because nutrients are also retained in this for a long time.

Like all parts of the moringa tree, the leaves can also be used in many ways. In the countries of origin, they are usually consumed either raw, boiled, steamed or cooked in a pan. They are also used to make tea, which is traditionally drunk for prevention and health support or used externally, for example for skin problems. In our latitudes, however, the leaf powder is particularly important. Because by drying and grinding the leaves, they can be made durable without losing their effectiveness and delivered directly to our home. For example, in the form of capsules, the miracle tree from the Far East provides us with our daily extra portion of all the nutrients and vital substances already mentioned.
